ROOM 02 - thundering success!

THANK YOU to everyone on 25 April Saturday
- who braved the lightening storm & downpour, looked at the lovely art show; ate little coloured iced biscuits with sweetie faces; drank the dubious orange bubbly stuff in polystyrene cups; played tombola & won super duper prizes with Anna (the knitted mielie warmer is still up for grabs); watched Tim Knight and Sarah Dawson’s short films next door; ate hotdogs; drank beer; chattered in the corridor; smoked fags; swigged cheeky shots of tequila; bought art!; played twister…and whatever else went on.

*EEP!* Durban hosts ROOM 02!

Dalston and Beyond is doing Durban. A cheeky little apartment with a luverly view has made itself available for next Saturday, 25 April 09. So at rather short notice it's ROOM 02 time!

A FLEETING EXHIBITION
The space will host some super sweet work from Durban, Cape Town & London artists for 4 hours only!

Drawings, paintings, posters, collages, ceramics, tunes and treats will find their temporary home on the 7th floor of the Park Lodge Mansions apartment block.

If you are anywhere near the sunny Durban side, don't miss this show... Or the utter joy of Park Lodge sundowning time with that view on that plen air corridor!

Yes, there will be a paid bar of some sort after the early peeps finish off the FREE booze.

Opening Night - ROOM 01

ROOM 01 was officially opened last night! Here are some hastily snapped pics of the party. Pictures of the art work will follow... it was too crowded to get near it on the night! Thanks to all who braved the brrrrrr to be there. FUN!
